Gardendale Christian Academy was founded as a ministry of Gardendale Church of the Nazarene in Gardendale, Alabama. Located on a 14-acre campus, the school and daycare began with a vision to provide Christ-centered education and care for children and families in our community.
In 1977, Gardendale Wee Care opened its doors under the leadership of its first director, Joyce Roberts. As the ministry grew, kindergarten programs expanded, and in 1982 Gardendale Christian Academy was established with the addition of first grade. The A Beka curriculum was adopted in 1983, laying the foundation for the school’s strong academic and biblical emphasis.
Throughout the years, the campus has continued to grow with the addition of classrooms, playgrounds, athletic facilities, technology, and educational programs. The school expanded to serve additional grade levels, introduced fine arts and athletics, and continually improved its facilities to meet the needs of students and families.
Today, Gardendale Christian Academy and Gardendale Nazarene Daycare continue their mission of partnering with families to provide a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where students can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.
